Thank you for visiting our website. We are a small registered residential and day service training establishment for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Our ethos of inclusive learning within small group and individual development opportunities ensures good outcomes for all, as highlighted and confirmed by our last CSCI report. Much emphasis is placed upon the acquisition of independence and other essential skills appropriate to individual needs and interests, making full use of our on site facilities and the wider community. Placement Information and Guidance We are able to offer residential placements of up to fifty two weeks each year. These placements can be of a fixed term duration extending to longer term provision where appropriate. Ivers is also an appropriate follow on provision for individuals who have completed their initial placements at Specialist Residential Colleges. We are able to offer additional training building upon existing skills whilst continuing the process of ongoing development for those who require additional time to reach their full potential. For our longer term placements, we continue to promote ongoing development by offering a wider range of new opportunities. This may include increased emphasis on vocational and community based learning. In addition to this we are able to offer day placement opportunities of two to five days per week Monday to Sunday. Duration Two to three years with the opportunity to extend to a longer term placement where appropriate. Who will benefit from our provision ? Ivers is able to consider placements for individuals with a range of moderate to severe learning difficulties, and associated communication or behavioural difficulties. Our staff team are experienced in the management of individuals who present with behaviours that challenge. A holistic approach is promoted and maintained through agreed management strategies and continued personal and social development. We are not however able to accept referrals from those whose challenges are of such an intensity that they cause significant harm to themselves or others. Full details are available in the Admissions Policy available on request.
